Eligibility Criteria

To open an account under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, the following conditions must be met:

  1. The account can be opened in the name of a girl child who is below 10 years of age.
  2. The girl child must be an Indian resident.
  3. Only one account per girl child is allowed, and a maximum of two accounts can be opened for two daughters in a family.
